Rabbi Mark Cooper, Mohel

My Training
RabbiCooper-web-square
I’ve been a practicing mohel for nearly 25 years.

I received my training in Jerusalem from Yosef Ha-Kohen Halpern, a 5th generation Mohel, and at the Bikur Cholim Hospital.

I use the Bronstein clamp, the most commonly used instrument for infant circumcision. It enables a rapid and bloodless result. I wear individually wrapped sterile gloves and personally sterilize all instruments in an autoclave before each use. I do not perform “metzitza b’peh” (oral sucking).

I’ve officiated at thousands of Bris ceremonies over the years and always enjoy seeing the families with whom I’ve shared this special celebration years later.

I live in South Orange, New Jersey and am available to officiate at Brises throughout the New Jersey/New York area.
